A colourful journey...called Life

The four and a half years starting here  is now going to move on to the next phase in the next twelve days. The time flew really fast and I'm hoping the next phase too takes very less time to settle down. All the emotions (possible) have started pouring in. Preparations are taking its toll both on energy and the pocket. Holidays have been planned, plans are being planned and when there is lots of planning there are lots of runtime twists and turns and I am hoping we take them in our stride and move on, so that on the 'D' day, our important day, we are happy and enjoying the moment before it passes it away. Fingers crossed, blessing solicited.

Sometimes life seems much more than a roadside squabble.. Sometimes life seems much more than a bug to fix.. Sometimes life seems much more than a piece of code you optimized.. Sometimes life seems much more than a product delivery on schedule.. Sometimes life seems much more than speeding to cross a signal while its green.. Sometimes life seems much more than you can take..

Some you gained, some you lost Some you made happy, some you failed Some hopes didn't materialize, some hopes you missed Some lives you touched, some you wish you had Some moments you treasured, some you let go Some expectations you failed, some failed your expectations So many ups and so many downs But life goes on. One year goes but the next one has already started. Let us hope it brings in all the happiness of the previous years and leaves behind the mistakes of the years that went by. Happy new year!

..I'm starting to appreciate the complexity of human psychology. I have this sudden raving to study psychology. Reminds of a movie crash . How the decision one person makes, which is the best for himself and people he knows, affects thousands of other people in ways he will never know. I need to start searching good books on psychology to read.

My company announced that we could undergo a medical checkup, the company would bear the cost. Anything that's free sounds good right? So after much ado we scheduled our checkup and reached early (8:30 is really very early!) As soon as we went in we were asked to fill out a form, which apart from other details had a question "Nature of work" I had to think really hard, but then since I could not think of anything but sedentary, I went with my neighbor who wrote "software engineer" Next was the drinking water test. Drink, drink and drink but the USG expert was not satisfied. Wonder why all the guys passed the test in the first go and all us girls were asked to drink more water! I will keep away from water for quite some days now. Then the blood that they extracted for test(s), which I am sure will last me the tests for a few years now. And he could not find my vein, so he made three holes as compared to only two for others. The other tests were not as c...
