Contrary to all reason...!

This is something...that is inconceivable...absolutely...unbelievable...I mean can you even think of an accident...affecting as many as 5 vehicles...and that too at a traffic signal..when the signal is red...???


 

I couldn't...I never thought about something like this...ever before...however, thanks to this flimsy experience...I have concluded that your never safe...even when you have halted at a red light..:)


 

Here's what happened...


 

At my fav spot (...yeah fav accidental spot..:D...)...nal stop...the signal where you turn towards Karnatak School...

The signal is bright red...broad daylight...and not that it just turned red...its red say about 40secs remaining...to turn green

A truck...in full speed....approaches the vehicles that were obeying the red light...and wow...what do we have....a sight worth watching...

5 vehicles in a row...damaged...(I cant understand...how fast the truck was that the collision spread to 5 vehicles in a column..!! whoa..!! )

Now...in Pune we always have space problems on the road...so at a signal..we know vehicles aren't even an inch far...

A poor lady on a scooty...was almost rammed between two cars...all the cars were damaged...and ... the best part...the truck driver...wanted to move out somehow..but I guess he considered it his bad luck that he was at a signal..else he would have happily escaped...

People came out to help..pulled down the driver n etc etc...


 

But the point here is...are traffic signals really needed...? I guess not...they only cause problems...to innocent vehicular traffic by forcing brakeless vehicles to stop...!

sad,shockin..whatever..too frequent to even ponder and add another safety norm in my db..But zar one observation...Uve been writing/talking so much on roads and traffic...im sure u can personify any of these and write an autobiography like the one s we used to have in school..:P (no offense)

Imagine swargate chawk or... abhinav kala chawk without signals...

This time pree’s tweets are going to show me the way J 22 nd December : 9:29 AM Aah.. Njoying.. Nw wating frnds to come to ma home!! We were on the way to banaglore, boarded a 9pm bus from pune. The bookings were done in advance but last minute hiccups are always there. The travel decided to change their pick up point without informing the boarders. Weekend stories...

The weekend started with a bang...am going to get into details...coz..as Mohsin rightly mentioned...all the details he missed in his post will come here...:) The plan was in place...were to go to the Scream...clubbing... We were supposed to meet at Charuta's place by around 8:30pm...but as usual...we are always late...we left office at 8:45pm in the daemon's car. Now I know why people fear his driving...seriously...all he does is try and test his brakes...I mean if you can see a vehicle in front of you slowing down...you would also slow down right...but the daemon...will go as close as 100m zoom...and then apply brakes... Ok, whatever...we reached safely at our first destination....and no wonder i changed my vehicle...its much safer with Khyati driving..:) We went to the East Street Cafe..(well known as the bus wala resto..;). The place is nice...has a lovely ambience... We were looking for a place for the seven of us...and the answer we got is..but that place is a little priva...
