A colourful journey...called Life

We started off on Friday, the 20th of February. We had planned to leave in lunch hours, so as not to miss our Friday bash, but as always...unexpected webex sessions, review sessions etc delayed it to a little past 1:30pm. Nevertheless we were all excited and armed with toys and snacks to have on the way, we left office. Our first stop, the petrol pump became a very long stop. Manish’s car had a flat tyre. We moved on (in Vijay’s gaddi) and decided to meet at Soul Curry. We slurped up yummy ginger-pepper(or was it garlic...not sure) rice. Had amazing coffee, but the other car didn’t park itself at the resto till close to 3:15pm. The other bhooke log had their share of rice and coffee, and just as we the bill was being paid, we noticed the tyre was flat again...!! After much ado, we finally started for diveagar at around 5pm. The traffic was stepping up, especially in the village what with their markets and people walking on the streets as if the roads were footpaths. But the journey was...

I know...the weekend has not yet started... No i don't have a description about an amazing trip we had to some place..(thats probably the next post though..:) The planning phase...of our early weekend trip..is worth mentioning...there's so much fun planning it itself...im sure the trip is going to be extremely memorable..! Yeah, its called 1x1...a one on one...a meeting with your manager...one on one. Well, for starters it wasn't literally a 1x1 it was a 2x1, an informal meeting with my manager and director of engineering. Everyone is very informal here and I like it that way, so to make it easier I had a meeting with Sonal and Vinay. I was a little apprehensive as to the contents of the discussion, but as I said everyone here is so informal that it was just like any other meeting. We settled in one of the conference rooms, and I was sure this meeting is not going to last for more than 15-20 minutes, coz I didnt have any complicated management level questions...all the questions I had were very technology related, and by the time we started the chat...my set of a 'few' questions reduced to a singleton set :) Anyway, the talk started, and there were some advises for a fresher...coz the environment changes from college to office...people change from classmates friends to colleagues...that was o...

How difficult can it get... The radiator fan of the vehicle doesnt shut down with the engine. We connect and disconnect the fan... Everyone is a little hard on cash after shopping their heart out... The 'mama' at the corner takes what little we save to eat something...coz we havent worn seatbelts and are on the wrong side of a one-way... Cannot find a specific ATM we're looking for, so that we can hog.. Luckily one of us finds an ATM, but there isnt enough cash in the account... Want to go a specific place, coz everyone wants to have a roll, the place says...there is another half an hour to open... Manage to have something else and move on.. After we avoid entering many no-entries we finally reach some place, park the vehicle...and icing on the cake..leave the car keys inside...!! As one of us rightly said...people please dont trouble us..we are troubled enough...!

Today my horoscope says... "You will be irritated by someone's behavior. Try to be diplomatic or leave the place" someone's gonna irritate me...so much so that I hafta leave the place..man..im eagerly waiting for this one... Im getting nostalgic by the day. In college we thought, how much is life going to change outside? And here I am...everythings changed. We cannot have last minute plans so often, as everyone's schedules don't match. Earlier schedules consisted of meeting this friend and that, but now it has meetings and builds and releases and deadlines and stuff, we cannot easily say..'arey build kal karte hai..I have to meet a friend'...its not professional...! Anyway, recently the four of us..(Za 2 p we're called) were just remembering old days..and planning another trip. The discussion of our Goa trip is still so vivid in everyone's mind, that it compelled me to pen it down...so that anytime in the future...we can easily relive all those moments...
