A nice office trip..to MavalShrushti

We at office, had not gone for a trip since long (there hasn't been a single outing after I joined, owing to recession, layoffs etc etc)
The trip was planned for the 10th of August '09, a Monday. Usually monday is accompanied with mooonday blues, and getting up late..procrastination, finding reasons of going late to work and so on. But this monday, I woke up much before 6am. Had to reach office by 7:30 and so had decided to leave home by 7. Roads were very clear and though I didn't really drive fast (Ok, my kine can't really move very fast..but still :)) , I reached office in 20 minutes and didn't find anyone, not even the bus. People started trickling in and in some time all of us were ready to leave. Everyone settled in the bus and the journey started towards MavalShrushti.
We played dumb charades...even our VP Engineering, joined in very enthusiastically. While playing the game I only just realised just how much I needed a break from code, as I tried explaining the word 'if' by trying to go through 'code that I write and etc etc..:P'. All the way with jokes and guessing and movies we reached our destination by around 9:15 or so.
The place looked decent. All of us were hungry like bhooke bangals. We hogged our way into garma garam upma, poha and tea (with lemon grass). After this pet pooja, we moved towards the waterfalls. It was an awesome experience under the gushing water... Chillaowing for snaps...and a small watery trek.

After lots of 'please chalo' 'now lets move' 'lets head back' we started moving out of the waterfalls. We headed up towards a pool. It wasn't clean (you couldn't even see the floor of the pool). Most of the people got in and started their usual water masti. When lalit was gheraoed and thrown into the water (thank God his cell and shoes didnt bear the brunt of him shying away from the pool :P), we realised that its better we get in ourselves. We tried to pacify guys by wetting our legs in the water, but finally we had to get in. And smartly we made our way through the water to the steps in the opposite corner :P. What followed was a throwball and frisbee game in the water. Many people slipped getting toys that fell out of the play area (that includes me too), some got hurt too but it was fun. After getting out of the water, we were cold and needed some, sorry lots of tea. After having 2-3 cups we finally made our way to dry clothes and lunch. The food may have been good, but I really wasn't feeling like eating. But yeah, I didn't miss the gulab jamuns.

After this senior members shared their personal experiences for sometime. Some of us then moved on to explore the area. All of us, with plenty of snaps and PJs and yelling and singing, took a round trip till the jevan hall. After another round of tea we all started back. The bus departed by around 4:45pm. This time too we ended up playing dumb charades, but this time with a completely different set of people. I learnt a very nice way of enacting movies too (thanks Pratik).

We reached office by 6:15 or so, and all of us departed. I hope the trip was a teeny weeny bit longer. With all these memories I drove home, hoping, just wishing that tomorrow was not a working day...

P.S. Snaps are on their way...
